HAPPY MASHUJAA DAY

Today in Kenya, we remember the extraordinary people who have impacted our country by observing Mashujaa Day, also known as National Heroes Day. We are shedding light on a pantheon of cultural and folk heroes and demonstrating how their superpowers continue to be the pillar and lifeblood of the areas they originated from and the entire nation of Kenya. Days like these are necessary to remind us of how our shared history and diversity bring us together as a nation.

Four key lessons drawn from this move to honor heroes from all walks of life can be drawn from this day:

1. It Takes Courage

When it comes to standing up for their country, not everyone has the fortitude, there are men and women who have taken it upon themselves to confront the aggressor. Kenyan heroes sensed a threat to their freedom and sovereignty and determined enough was enough they decided to put an end to colonial rule.

2. The Virtue of Perseverance

Even after deciding to fight for the country’s freedom, The warriors held on to the end in what they call “the power of the unbroken.” Kenyan warriors were imprisoned, tortured, and slain, but this did not deter them from fighting for the country’s freedom.

3. Mashujaa Instills Patriotism in Us

We are happy, united, and loyal because our warriors broke the chains of colonialism, whose principal goal was to divide and conquer.

4. Free to Elect Leaders

We are free to vote and elect the leaders of our choice.

Happy Heroes Day to the entire Adevia team for the excellent work that has continued to result in the successful deployment of numerous nurses to the US. They credit their success to excellent teamwork and the welcoming workplace culture made possible by strong leadership and management. A management that has also made an effort to foster a work-hard culture that guarantees both personal and professional growth. As a result, the crew is highly motivated and regularly gives it their all, even under trying circumstances. We not only honor and value their major contribution to the expansion and success of Adevia Health on this Heroes Day.

Lastly, I take this opportunity to recognize the healthcare heroes our nurses who work diligently to provide health care. We notice you! We respect you!

Happy Heroes’ Day!
