Moses Banda USRN Journey

What was your motivation to become a nurse?

My late father’s two-year illness motivated me to pursue a career in nursing particularly, upon noticing some deficits in the care accorded to him whenever he was hospitalized. This prompted me to join the healthcare field specifically nursing with some hope that I would render a helping hand to those in need.

How would you describe your journey to becoming a USRN with Adevia Health USA?

I would describe my journey to becoming a USRN with Adevia Health USA as very educational. The NCLEX coaching and the informational guidance through the immigration application processes was above my expectations. This built my confidence to work hard in an effort to make the dream come true. Patience has to be part of the deal in this journey. I learned to be patient enough as the Adevia team works behind the scenes for the betterment of the candidates.

What was your favorite part of the Adevia Health program?

The highlight of the entire program had to be the Intensive NCLEX Review program. The program was scheduled close enough to the dates of taking the NCLEX which made candidates dedicate themselves fully to their studies. Furthermore, it provided an opportunity to interact with colleagues from other nations and share experiences along the USRN journey. Last but not least, it also facilitated friendship creation among the candidates.

How would you describe the moment you received your green card and what advice would you give fellow nurses in the pursuit of the American dream?

I felt so happy when I finally got here and received my green card. It was not an easy journey but everything is possible with God. Believers put God first in everything.

Where are you currently working and what has been your experience so far in the US

I am currently working at Memorial Hospital Med/Surg department in Georgia State. Ten months down the line, my experience has been so good. Every day encounters are getting me familiarized with most aspects of life on this side. All in all, I am living the American dream which started back in 2018.
